Learn how to cancel, pause, or downgrade your subscription.

Before You Cancel

Consider these alternatives before canceling:
  • Pause subscription: Keep your data, stop billing temporarily
  • Downgrade: Switch to a lower-tier plan
  • Reduce seats: Keep the plan but remove team members

What Happens When You Cancel

  • ✅ Access continues until end of billing period
  • ✅ All data preserved for 30 days
  • ✅ Exports available during grace period
  • ❌ No new meetings can be recorded
  • ❌ Auto-renewals stopped
  • ❌ Team features disabled at period end

Cancellation Options

Option 1: Cancel Immediately

Stop billing now and lose access:
  1. Settings → Subscription & Billing
  2. Click “Cancel Subscription”
  3. Choose “Cancel Immediately”
  4. Confirm cancellation
  5. Optional: Provide feedback

Option 2: Cancel at Period End

Access continues until billing cycle ends:
  1. Settings → Subscription → Cancel
  2. Select “Cancel at end of billing period”
  3. Current period: Ends on [Date]
  4. Confirm cancellation
You’ll receive a reminder 7 days before access ends.

Option 3: Pause Subscription

Temporarily stop billing:
  1. Settings → Subscription
  2. Click “Pause Subscription”
  3. Choose duration:
    • 1 month
    • 3 months
    • 6 months
    • Indefinite
  4. Confirm pause
During pause:
  • No charges applied
  • Data preserved
  • Read-only access to existing meetings
  • Cannot record new meetings

Option 4: Downgrade Plan

Switch to a lower tier:
  1. Settings → Subscription
  2. Click “Change Plan”
  3. Select lower tier (Basic, Free, etc.)
  4. Review changes
  5. Confirm downgrade
Changes take effect at next billing cycle.

Step-by-Step Cancellation

For Individual Plans

  1. Log into your account
  2. Navigate to Settings (gear icon)
  3. Select “Subscription & Billing”
  4. Scroll to “Manage Subscription”
  5. Click “Cancel Subscription”
  6. Choose cancellation option:
    • Cancel now
    • Cancel at period end
    • Pause subscription
  7. Provide reason (optional but helpful)
  8. Confirm by clicking “Yes, Cancel”

For Team/Workspace Plans

Only workspace admins can cancel team subscriptions.
  1. Workspace Settings → Billing
  2. Click “Manage Team Subscription”
  3. Select “Cancel Subscription”
  4. Review impact:
    • Number of team members affected
    • Data that will be archived
    • Features that will be disabled
  5. Notify team members (automatic)
  6. Confirm cancellation

For Enterprise Plans

Enterprise cancellations require coordination:
  1. Contact your account manager
  2. Or email: enterprise@yourdomain.ai
  3. Provide:
    • Organization name
    • Account ID
    • Cancellation date preference
    • Migration needs (if any)

Data Export Before Cancellation

Before canceling, export important content:
  1. Dashboard → Settings → Data Export
  2. Click “Export All Data”

    • Complete archive (ZIP)
    • Meetings only

  2. Banner appears: “Your subscription is canceled”

After Grace Period

After 30 days:
  • ❌ Account moves to free tier (if available)
  • ❌ Or account deactivated
  • ⚠️ Data scheduled for deletion in 60 days
